Towards A Common Objective (Part 1)

Note: Mixed English and Tagalog post.

There is a post by the Admin of Pinoy (Feb. 5, 2007) about pooling together the talent and skills of interested members of the forum for a common objective – to be on equal footing with the Indians in the IT and internet marketing arena.

(Note: The mentioned post is not existing anymore.)

To those who don’t know, the Indians had been in the forefront of IT, outsourcing and other technology related industry for decades now. They are consistent, they never stop improving their skills both inside India or in the worldwide arena. Their private sector is a potent instrument of achievement that most other newly industrialized country could only envy. Together with China, India is a country that has bright hopes for the future.

To try to beat the Indians or at least equal their accomplishments now is a tall order. They’re so far ahead of us Filipinos in so many things presently. It’ll be better if we think of emulating how they (Indians) were able to almost corner the technology outsourcing industry, than try to outdo them.

It’s a very interesting topic what Admin has started. I myself is interested in getting involved but would like to wait and see what they come up with. Since they are all based in the Philippines (at the same time zone), it’s easier for them to conference with each other. But, if I see that they’re project is worth my time, damn, I’m gonna pack and leave Canada at moments notice and be one with them.

(To be continued……Part 2 to come.)

Holly Molly Blogging, Batman! WordPress rules!

I’m a total sucker with WordPress blog improvement. Last month, I purchased Rapid Niche Website software ( so I can produce WordPress blogs that would look more like websites but with the benefit of an easy to update features.

And only last night, again I purchased a Semiologic Pro Package, a great tool for WordPress blogs. I cannot believe that I just spent the last 8 hours trying to tweak Semiologic and whoo! – – – – I’m so impressed! (

Take a look at the first website that I made with Semiologic Pro –, and I’m sure that you’ll agree with me that the package produced an amazingly professional looking site!

I’ll be very busy in the coming days with my new toy, that’s for sure. And I would probably use this package to give our Philippine Travel Agency website a new look.

Damn! So friggin’ cold in Toronto today, -15C (5F).
