A Cheap Place To Stay In Manila

Just a short follow up from a previous post during my visit to the Philippines. As promised, here are pictures of the apartelle I stayed in Manila, actually, Quezon City.
Like I posted before, the cheapest airconditioned room is 680 pesos (roughly $15) and is alright in my standards (I’m cheap, don’t know about you).
The room is very small; 1 single bed and about 2 feet by 6 feet wiggle room plus the bathroom approximately 4 by 4 feet square. All dimensions are approximate, just giving you a clue.
The name is Park Villa Apartelle which is located at No. 61 Examiner St. corner Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. The phone numbers are (63-2) 929-8618 or 928-8511 or 928-0035.

(Update 27Sep2010: According to the last commenter, the price per 24 hour stay is now 750 pesos. It’s just a bit expensive now but still a good deal. Readers may also try another place I stayed in Quezon city which you can read here – Another cheap hotels to stay in Manila. Last time they charged me 750 pesos for 24 hours.)

i don’t see why not. basta binabayaran mo daily rent mo, pwede yun. it’s my first time staying in an apartelle like that and i like it. madami kang masasagap na kontrobersya. he he.

Ganda po niyang apartelle na yan, mura,malinis, mabait ang mga bantay. Safe kasi me guardia magdamag,saka maski anong oras sa gabi ka magising me mga tauhan sila sa open area malapit sa entrance.
Malapit pa sa lahat. Me mabibilhan din ng pagkain na mura lang.I stayed nang mga ten days pay ka lang every day ng 680 pesos.
@melinda – aba, ganun pa din pala ang renta, ha? ayos yun. tama ang sinabi mo, malapit sa lahat – yung mcdo at saka mercury at saka tropical hut walking distance lang. pati national bookstore. di ko lang alam kung anong pangalan nung street.
what do you mean by makakasagap ng kontrobersya? like tsismis sa loob ng apartelle?
@ debbie – parang ganun na nga. mga bagay bagay na tipong showbiz lang ang dating. check in ka dun tapos mag observe ka sa bandang madaling araw – ikaw na ang bahala sa conclusion. o baka naman na-swertihan ko lang. LOL

@your experience – in manila, no rooms are available for less than 1000 pesos because people usually flock there to look for overseas work.
@ ruby – attractions na malapit? hmmn, 1 jeepney ride to laugh line? yun ba attraction na hinahanap mo? palagay ko naman pwede bata. tawagan mo na lang sila. thanks.

nice information you write here author, i wondering if i can visit this place, but i have plan to bali this month and stay for a while in the kawi villas, its really cheap, if you have spare time, you can visit this villas if you looking for cheap villas in bali i think, anyway. this is a great article

i once stayed in park villa for a month. they treated
me very nicely especially edna. it was still 580 pesos before. but even if they increase their room rate, it’s still worth it. i love the scene over the steel bridge and also the trees. and the said controversies are very true!

@Sabel, meron sila pero sayang kung sa kanila mo pa papagawa mas mahal sila. Lakad ka lang papunta sa may bandang National Bookstore, meron dun laundry – mas mura. Ang ginagawa ko para wag ako mangawit magbitbit, nilalagay ko sa carry-on luggage ko yung mga madumi kong damit tapos hahatakin ko lang sya papunta dun sa National Bookstore.

@Sabel – you’re welcome. Buti naman pinakinabangan mo info dito. Tungkol sa laundry sa Honeys West, dun sa bandang Del Monte yata ako nagpapa-laundry pero di ko na matandaan eksakto yung lugar. Alam mo, itanong mo dun sa guard ng apartelle dahil sa kanila ko din tinanong yan nung naghanap ako ng laundry shop. Thanks.
Goodam! Just wana ask re: room? How much per night? We are three me,my baby 1.3 old, and my husband. We need 2 bed. Our preferred dates will start at December 23 – 27, 2011. But it will also depend on my husband if we will stay longer. But meanwhile can I ask for a quote for 1 week only? I am looking forward on your reply. Thanks
@Ira, please contact them direct at this numbers: 929-8618 or 928-8511 or 928-0035 about your question. Last update you can read from above post is on Sep2010 and it is 750pesos per room for 2 people per night. I have not stayed at Park Villa since 2007. Goodluck.
meron po bng png 3 bed also yng pinaka lowest rate lng for 1 month and along manila lng included na din ba lht with water and electric? also cempre much better kung my kitchen din.ty po
@Malen – kung gusto mo ng meron kusina tapos sa Manila lang ang location, punta ka sa Mabuhay Manor (mabuhaymanor.com.ph). Pero hindi mo sila makukuha sa 1,000 PHP per night. Malabo kang makakuha ng ganyang presyo sa Manila. Ang Casa Bocobo (casabocobo.com.ph) mahigit din sa 1,000 PHP per night. Dun sa Mabuhay Manor, up and down ang kwarto sa tabi ng swimming pool, meron sariling kitchen, 2 bed sa upper floor tapos isang sofa bed sa lower floor. Ang Casa Bocobo naman wala silang kwarto katulad sa Mabuhay Manor. Punta ka na lang sa website nila para makita mo rates nila. Goodluck.
